DentPal - CONNECT

Scope / Requirements:¶

• Use dummy signatures and keys on the backend and application for initial testing.

• Installer should execute end-to-end, including:

  • Administrator elevation and service account creation
  • Windows Service installation (DentpalSyncService.exe)
  • Creation of secure configuration file (config.sec) with DPAPI encryption and HMAC verification
  • Manifest signature verification (dummy keys)
  • Logging and cleanup of sensitive temporary files

• Ensure the installer can run successfully in a test environment using the dummy credentials.

This is for testing and development; production keys/signatures will be integrated later.
