Description
This ticket will focus on Refinements needed for the Patient Tab and its Functionality as it relates to filters and communications:
- Text VS Email Conflict Protocol was re-visited and it was determined that the actual functionality needs to be as follows:
- When there is conflict between the communication being sent out by the Dental Clinic (Bulk Messages Applies Here) and the Patients Opt-Out Settings. The System will automatically adjust the communication channel (Text to Email OR Email to Text) to ensure that the patient gets the Communication and is Informed of all Notifications.
- A video demonstration is also shown in the demo video attached.
- What the system is doing is acting in a smart and automated manner by converting the Text to Email Form if the Patient has Opted-Out of Text Messages. Same if Patient has Opted-Out of Email than system will convert Bulk Notification to Text. This guarantees communication is sent and patient is informed.
- Bulk (Mass) Communication Filters deal with how the patient list is manipulated and filtered by the Customer (Dental Clinic) to run the notification operations needed for the day to day. The filters that will be needed are included in the Attached Excel Spreadsheet. A video demonstration is also shown in the demo video attached.

Tags - These are Lists or Groups that Patients can be "Tagged" to. This allows the Dental Office smart filtering and smart grouping of patients that allows for more efficient communications/notifications.
- Color Coded
- 7 Tags = 7 colors
- Tag name can be customized - alphanumeric and special characters. 35 characters long.
- Patients can be tagged and/or tag can be removed from patient.
- Bulk tag removal function needed
- Bulk tag added function needed
- Tags serve as a filter function from the patient tab
- Tasks -
- Tasks is an extension of Patient Notes
- Able to assign multiple users to the task including "self"
- Task can be general tasks created by DentPal Customer Users and assigned to themselves or assigned to multiple other users inside Customer OR Patient Specific Tasks that stem from Patient Notes.
- Tasks have a due date
- Tasks can be accessed through: 1) Patient Notes; 2) Tasks Icon on Right Hand Tab Menu
