Description

DentPal Configure - Relation between Categories and Three Dot Action Button

  1. Work from Ticket #377 Needs to be implemented

  2. Removal of "EMPTY CATEGORIES"

  3. Per discussions with Dev Team and DP Team - For DentPal Configure specifically "ONLY" DentPal SU will be able to "EDIT" Category Names for DentPal Configure. These changes in category name will be pushed to Customer Side. DentPal SU will NOT be able to "Create" or "Delete" categories. Categories are "LOCKED".

Customer will be able to use the Templates in the Template Library (These represent the ones pushed by DentPal) and be able to edit the content. The "RESTORE TO DEFAULT" function still exists. Customer will be able to copy templates to "My Templates" and have access to all "TYPICAL/EXPECTED" functionality with the EXCEPTION of Creating Categories or Editing Category Names.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM please advise if further discussion is needed or if we misunderstood something

  1. Appointment Cancelled - Change to "Invite to Schedule" and functionality should be the same as Send Appointment Reminder

  2. Update Three Dot Actions - See ScreenShot Below

  3. Link Three Dot Actions to appropriate templates, functions, screens, etc...

  4. Discuss following Action Item Functions:

  • Update Tags
  • Update Tasks
  • Delete Unlinked Patients
  1. "FORMS" are discussed and included for documentation purposes so that we do not forget. It is a placeholder for everyone. If we can implement "Buttons" but leave them "IN-ACTIVE" for now.

A) External Online Review Requests (Google / Facebook)

DentPal must support sending Google and/or Facebook review links to patients via SMS and Email.

DentPal will NOT pull, ingest, store, parse, or display Google/Facebook review content, ratings, or counts. (Outbound-only.)

B) MyPal Performance (MYP) (In-house Reviews)

MYP is DentPal’s in-house review/survey system using DentPal-controlled, non-customizable templates (customers cannot change questions/scoring).

MYP responses feed DentPal analytics/KPIs (nightly refresh) and benchmarking.

C) Sending Google/FB links together with MYP

Google/FB review links are stored in Practice Settings (per clinic).

When an MYP request is sent, DentPal should optionally include Google/FB links pulled from Practice Settings.

If a clinic does not provide one or both links, those links are simply omitted from the MYP message.

D) Clinics must still be able to send Google/FB links manually (outside MYP)

Dental offices can manually send Google/FB review links via:

Instant Messages (1:1 or Bulk) - Able to Create Premade Templates with Links inside those Templates

Email Campaigns (1:1 or Bulk) - Able to creae Premade Templates with Links inside thos Templates

DentPal does not impose special limitations on these messages beyond existing rules.

SMS/Email opt-outs apply the same as all other DentPal communications.

QUESTION for DEV TEAM - How can me make it so that the FB LINK and GOOGLE LINK can be easily inserted into Communications (Instant Messages or example). Can we have a variable code insert that pulls the link from practice settings to make it efficient for customer.

Per Dev Team and DP Team conversation on 2/8/2026 MYP and Online Reviews will have to be separated to be functional. Functional documentation has been defined for Online Reviews and can be found in the Ticket Update.

!!!!!PLEASE DISREGARD PRIOR UPDATE/EDIT!!!!!

Documentation can be found here for Online Reviews --->>> https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OfaGvaDuxqxLfpG2vTZfduSRQPUXHqD3?usp=drive_link

!!!!! TO AVOID GAPS BETWEEN MYPAL PERFORMANCE AND ONLINE REVIEWS BOTH WILL NEED TO BE BUILT IN PARALLEL. THIS WILL AVOID CONFUSION AND REWORK !!!!!
